Kristin and I met in college at Ball State University. I thought she was super cool and super smart and wanted to be her friend from the moment I met her. So when she asked me if I would be her photographer I was ELATED. When she told me her ideas for an engagement session, (willow tree + lakefront) my little inner Lizzie-McGuire-style cartoon was jumping with joy. St. Mary's, OH- Kourtney's charming hometown- hugs the shores of Grand Lake. Ironically, Celina, my own summer haven, lies just across the water. It was a perfect blend of nostalgia and sentimentality to use this shared space as the backdrop for their love story. And yes, Taylor Swift's "Willow" was on repeat in my head the entire time.
